What happens after the four phases are completed?
The four phases described above can be summarized as the “discovery phase.” In this phase of the UX design process, we develop a deep understanding of users, their needs, and the context of use as the foundation for conceptualization and UX design.
This is followed by the concrete development of the solution in the design phase. Depending on the project, it may be useful in this phase to verify further assumptions through usability testing or user research and to refine the solution iteratively before it is implemented.
Only once the key questions have been clarified and the design has been sufficiently validated do we move on to software development. As the application matures, new insights emerge that can be re-examined through discovery-based methods. This creates an iterative process of research, conceptualization, validation, and further development, in which our understanding of users and requirements is continuously refined.
